The Samhellion launches today. The Samhellion is a newsletter created entirely by Samhain Publishing authors. The debut issue includes articles by JC Wilder, Isabo Kelly, Ciar Cullen, TJ Michaels, Beth Williamson and a short fiction piece from yours truly, Ashleigh Raine.

Lisa and I will be posting the second part of the free short story, Is This Seat Taken?, on our website sometime this weekend. Is This Seat Taken? is the story of two best friends who attend a Hollywood awards show as seat fillers, and the adventures they experience during the show. Several years ago Lisa and I were seat fillers and attended many shows–and some of what we’ve written into this story has actually happened to one or both of us. We hope you enjoy our fictional take on our experiences.
When we first agreed to write this short story, we didn’t realize that the newsletter would launch the same weekend as the Emmys. Although Is This Seat Taken? occurs at a fictional award show, when you watch the Emmys this weekend, watch the crowd. I guarantee you’ll see some seat fillers in attendance.
So make sure to sign up for the newsletter and read part one of our story, then check back here in the next couple days to read part two. Lisa and I are having so much fun with these shorts, we plan on continuing them by posting a new edition to the tale whenever the mood strikes us.

I didn’t receive my newsletter. I checked to make sure I was signed up and I was. Is there a problem?
