Warm fuzzies

February 21st, 2008

Today outside it’s cold, wet and miserable. We’re going on a week now of drizzly, rainy weather. Normally I love the rain, but it’s barely in the 40s out and I’m tired of being cold!

So when I got an email today telling me that Ashleigh Raine and Driven to Distraction and Lover’s Talisman  were being blogged about over on Ramblings on Romance etc., it totally gave me the warm fuzzies. Katiebabs, thank you so much for bringing some sunshine to my cloudy world right now. You are on the high end of the rockin’ awesome scale. :)

It must be something about Katies, because one of my MySpace friends, who goes by KatieBug, has been talking up our books on various forums.  So, I’ve come to a decision. Katie is my favorite name right now. ;) All Katies rock. Katies just might take over the world, actually.

Thank you to everyone who talks about our books. If I could hug all of you I would. Unless you don’t like to be hugged. Then I’ll just nod and say a polite thank you and will hug someone else twice instead. ;)  But in all seriousness (although I’m deadly serious about those hugs), as a reader, word of mouth is what gets me to pick up books. There are so many books I’ve picked up thanks to reading buzz about it on the internet, books I would have missed otherwise. So when someone talks about one of our books, I can’t even put into words how friggin’ awesome it feels. It’s a thrill that has me bouncing in my chair, and letting out a girlish squeal–in a totally professional way, of course. So let me just yell from the proverbial rafters, thank you. Our readers are the best. Thank you for telling other people about our books. Thank you for taking the time to share your love for our books. Thank you for reading our books. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

(And for those of you who hate the gushing posts, I apologize. I had to get it out or I might have exploded from an overabundance of gushitude. And although I know that’s not a word, it should be.)
